Korean dictation and original writing

Updated 10 October 2026

Understand the two writing tasks and check whether Korean lessons and scoring are available.

In dictation, you write the words you hear in a recording, in the same order. Summarizing the recording or rewriting its meaning is a different task. In original writing, you create your own sentences for the task you've been given.

Is Korean dictation available here?

MicroKorean has no published Korean lessons or recordings yet. Korean dictation scoring is also unavailable. This article explains the activity; it isn't an exercise you can complete now.

Check the lesson catalogue for its current status. An empty catalogue means there are no available lessons to start.

What to check before using a score

When Korean dictation scoring is available, read the lesson's guidance about which differences affect the result. This site hasn't yet stated how spacing or punctuation will be handled. Don't assume that another language site's rules apply here.

A single dictation result doesn't measure your overall Korean level. Its purpose is to help you find the words you missed and listen to that part again.

If guidance is unclear or doesn't match the screen, contact us.
