Request account deletion
Updated 10 October 2026
Contact us to request deletion. Get a copy of anything you want to keep first, and tell us which records or account you want deleted.
To request deletion, contact us about your account. Say that you want your account deleted and include its registered email address.
A deleted account cannot be restored. Before requesting deletion, ask for a data copy and receive anything you want to keep.
Tell us what you want deleted
Say whether you want only the records held for MicroKorean deleted or your whole account shared with SubLearn. The sites use the same account sign-in, so deleting the whole account also removes your ability to sign in to SubLearn with it.
If you are unsure about the scope, ask us to clarify it first. We will explain which records and sign-ins would be affected.
Send your request
- Send your email from your account address if possible. If you cannot access it, use another email address where you can receive our reply and include the account address in your message.
- Explain the scope of the deletion and whether you need any records first.
- Follow the account-ownership checks we ask for. Do not send passwords or verification codes in the message.
We check that the request comes from the account owner before acting. We will email you the outcome. When following up, use the same email thread or contact us again with the date and details of your earlier request.
If you have a paid subscription elsewhere
If you have a paid subscription through another learning site or payment service, check its cancellation process there. Asking to delete your account does not automatically stop recurring charges or issue a refund. Cancellation and refund requests must follow that service's separate process and policy.
Records that may remain
We keep records required by law, such as payment and tax records, for the required period. Backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle replaces them. We will explain these limits if they apply to your request.
Time limits for deletion requests
We fulfill deletion requests within the time required by applicable law. Where the UK GDPR applies, we must erase the personal information covered by a valid erasure request without undue delay and normally within one month. This is a deadline for fulfilling the request, rather than simply acknowledging your email. It does not mean that every record can be erased; the retention limits above still apply.
For complex or multiple requests, the law may allow an extension of up to two further months. We must tell you about an extension and explain its reasons within the first month.
